(Amaranthus cauditis)

They are an annual, but they reseed quite well. They bloom summer to early fall. 3′-4′ tall. Very pretty. They are soo beautiful. The blooms are used in bridal bouquets and other flower arrangements, dried or fresh cut. They don’t really have much of a fragrance. The tassels can last for many weeks and can reach up to 18″ in length. Last year I took one of the tassels, after it went to seed, and buried it in the garden and they came up again this year.

Healing Property: Acceptance.

I was able to get a clipping from a friend of this beautiful Yellow Oriental Lily. It’s so beautiful! And my favorite color.

I love watching new things bloom in my yard. Oriental Lily’s are perennial, they come back year after year. They are a straight stalk with a bloom or two on the end. Not like a Day Lily that is more bush like. Oriental Lily’s bloom July – August and they have a spicy fragrance. Love it.

I also planted a new Black Eyed Susan and that even bloomed this year. What a lucky year.

The Black Eyed Susan is one of my favorite flowers. It’s plant name is Rudbeckia and they are native to North America.

Healing Property: The Black Eyed Susan essence can help with repressed emotions. Bringing them to the forefront so you can have inner healing.

Healing Properties: It’s essence is known to help heartaches associated with broken relationships. Giving them strength to get out of that relationship and open their eyes to dysfunctional ones. It also can help cleanse the heart for acceptance and emotional freedom.

Well, this is my second year for a vegetable garden. I absolutely love it! Last year I started out with a 4′x6′ garden. This year I expanded it a bit to 6′x6′. I made it mostly a salad garden with butterhead lettuce, red leaf lettuce, Swiss chard, romaine, spinach, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, grape tomatoes (those are in a pot), basil and parsley. I love coming home every night and harvesting my evening salad. And it tastes sooo wonderful! And, yes I know I need to weed, I was waiting for the romaine to come up and didn’t want to accidentally pull them out!

So I went on a quest to find a better way to keep my two dogs teeth clean. I’ve been trying to brush them on a regular basis with baking soda and a toothbrush. It’s a struggle. They don’t like having it done and I’m not to fond of doing it. So I started to investigate some alternate products besides baking soda. I wanted the product to be natural and easy to use.

So here’s one that I found that we all seem to like. PetzLife is a really nice product. I use the gel, it comes in spray form as well. I just put some on my finger and rub it on my pets teeth and gums and were done. And in our short time of using PetzLife, I’ve seen a difference. Now thinking back, I should have taken a beginning photo. Ooh well.

Let me know what you use?
